Description
This series of levels has been engineered for contractors that work with brick and block and prefer to touch or hit the level with their trowel etc. Through the two strike zones, any out-of-line bricks can be adjusted with taps of a trowel. Added to this the hand grips on the 36in and 48in lengths make for easy handling. The tough reinforced aluminum frame precisely aligned with the STABILA locked vial system is the guarantee for accuracy on any harsh building site.
Applications:
- The STABILA Mason's level is designed for those who set brick, block and stone with a trowel. Striking shields allow the top of the level to be struck with the butt or blade of a trowel without causing damage to either the level or the trowel.
Features:
- Tough aluminum frame with two strikes zones to protect from the repeated hits of a trowel.
- Large hand grips on 36in and 48in lengths.
- Reinforcing ribs on the frame for added strength and grip.
- Precision-milled measuring surface.
- Always at eye level – the second plumb vial is offset towards the center, making it easy to read in all measuring positions.
- Shock-absorbing, removable end caps – protects the frame against repeated drops and falls.
- Easy to clean with water and brush.
- STABILA's vial installation technology delivers best in class reliability – measuring accuracy in normal and reverse position will not exceed 1/32in over 72 inches
- The white housing material around the vials is contoured so it is easy to clean.
- Equipment: 1 horizontal vial, 2 plumb vials, milled measuring surface, 2 hand grips on the 36in and 48in lengths. Metal sleeve hang hole so you hang the level up off the floor.
- Protect your levels with a case. See cat. number 30015
BENT LEVELS VOID WARRANTY
Warranty Information
Spirit Levels Warranty Overview for the United States and Canada:
STABILA spirit levels will maintain their stated accuracy for life. The fixed vials on all STABILA levels will not fog, leak, or become inaccurate. If they do, you will be given a new level.
Vials that are melted due to excessive heat (example: welding) are not covered under the warranty policy. Bent or damaged frames void warranty.
Is The Level Accurate?
Please note that while "stacking" two levels together to compare vial readings is a common way to check a level, it is not the correct way to check a vial's accuracy. With a stated accuracy of .029 degrees (1/32" in 72"), one level can be .029 degrees to the left and the other .029 degrees to the right, causing a slight difference in the compared bubble positions, while both bubbles still maintain their 1/32" in 72" accuracy. The "correct" way to check a vial's accuracy can be done quickly by following the instructions below.
To check the "level" or "horizontal" vial's accuracy, place the level on any flat surface:
• Make a mark on the flat surface at one end of the level.
• Read the bubble & remember where it is.
• Turn the level 180 degrees (end to end), placing the level right on the line drawn from the original end placement.
• Read the level.
• If the bubble returns to the same place, the level is accurate. If it does not, it is not accurate.
• Do it again, regardless of the reading.
To check the "plumb" or "vertical" vials, place the level against any door frame or wall:
• Make a mark on the wall beside the top vial.
• Read the bubble & remember where it is.
• Flip the level side for side (not end for end!).
• Read the level.
• If the bubble returns to the same place, the vial is accurate. If it does not, it is not accurate.
• Do it again, regardless of the reading.
To check the second "plumb" vial, turn the level end for end:
• Repeat all of the steps as done for the first "plumb" vial.
All Laser, Tech (electronic), and Plate Levels should always be returned to Stabila for warranty evaluation.
