Description

STABILA levels are unparalleled with regard to their accuracy and dependability. The secret - the vials made of block acrylic glass are firmly epoxy-locked in the frame. A perfect system. The vial is firmly cast in the high strength aluminum frame with non-shrink epoxy. No re-adjustment, no realignment, no tensioning against springs made of steel or fatigued plastic, no welding or clamping stresses. Just as accurate after 10 years as on the first day.

Applications:

  • Especially suitable for craftsmen who subject their tools to extremely demanding conditions and need to measure in all positions for example, in bricklaying and carpentry, in wood construction, reinforced concrete construction, window fitting, road construction and landscaping work.

Features:

  • Type 196. Our number 1 selling frame design.
  • Certified Level Accuracy .029 degrees - 1/32in over 72 inches - 0.5mm per meter right-side up or upside down. Every level is electronically adjusted, then accuracy inspected and certified.
  • Vials read the same in all positions.
  • Bright easy to read vials will not leak, break, fog or require re-calibration.
  • Level accuracy guaranteed for life.
  • Sizes 16in to 72in have machined top and bottom measuring surfaces.
  • Sizes 16in to 48in have an open (300 degree) center vial. 59in to 96in have a double bridged center vial.
  • Rib-reinforced frame for high strength and light weight. Frame will not warp or twist.
  • Rubberized hand grips for comfort and grip.
  • Shock-absorbing removable endcaps: Prevent slipping on walls and marking walls. Endcaps can be removed to carry pencil lines tight into corners.
  • Large metal hang hole to store the level up and off of the work surface.
  • Electrostatic enamel finish: baked on tough, cleans up with water and brush.

Warranty Information

Spirit Levels Warranty Overview for the United States and Canada: STABILA spirit levels will maintain their stated accuracy for life. The fixed vials on all STABILA levels will not fog, leak, or become inaccurate. If they do, you will be given a new level. Vials that are melted due to excessive heat (example: welding) are not covered under the warranty policy. Bent or damaged frames void warranty. Is The Level Accurate? Please note that while "stacking" two levels together to compare vial readings is a common way to check a level, it is not the correct way to check a vial's accuracy. With a stated accuracy of .029 degrees (1/32" in 72"), one level can be .029 degrees to the left and the other .029 degrees to the right, causing a slight difference in the compared bubble positions, while both bubbles still maintain their 1/32" in 72" accuracy. The "correct" way to check a vial's accuracy can be done quickly by following the instructions below. To check the "level" or "horizontal" vial's accuracy, place the level on any flat surface: • Make a mark on the flat surface at one end of the level. • Read the bubble & remember where it is. • Turn the level 180 degrees (end to end), placing the level right on the line drawn from the original end placement. • Read the level. • If the bubble returns to the same place, the level is accurate. If it does not, it is not accurate. • Do it again, regardless of the reading. To check the "plumb" or "vertical" vials, place the level against any door frame or wall: • Make a mark on the wall beside the top vial. • Read the bubble & remember where it is. • Flip the level side for side (not end for end!). • Read the level. • If the bubble returns to the same place, the vial is accurate. If it does not, it is not accurate. • Do it again, regardless of the reading. To check the second "plumb" vial, turn the level end for end: • Repeat all of the steps as done for the first "plumb" vial. All Laser, Tech (electronic), and Plate Levels should always be returned to Stabila for warranty evaluation. Warranty service procedure: Please return your level(s) to STABILA for evaluation. STABILA will inspect and return or replace your level(s) within 48 hours of receiving them at our facilities. Please package the product as well as possible and send it via FedEx, UPS, or certified mail. Please include the following information with your level: Name, return address, and phone number, or simply fill out and print the shipping label and return form available below. Please include a return form for each level that you are returning. Customer covers freight costs for items shipped to STABILA Warranty Centers and will pay return shipping costs for all non-warranty repairs and/or non-repairable laser and levels.
